Some of you may have seen my "He Who Cares Wins" screenprints, i'm currently working on some new designs for the more cynically minded.

For those of you who are familiar with the brilliant Palmerston here's a face which you may recognise.

Spotted these flats in Madrid, they really reminded me of the ones I photographed in Brussels. It's amazing what a wee splash of colour can do.

This is one of the many results from my interest in wool and monkeys. I'd like to make more of these.

The Best Brewer

I hand stitched this onto a t shirt for a canny geordie I know and love. She makes the best cuppa.

My weekend.

Another one of my musical heroes passed away last week, so I spent my weekend trying to capture him. Not sure how it'll look when finished. I hope I do him justice.

Home sweet home

Looks like the marching season is upon us and some of the inhabitants of northern ireland obviously aren't too concerned about pollution. This is a tower of tyres, I can't believe this is where i'm from. I can however, imagine it in the turbine hall of the tate.

But hey, the rainbow to this cloud is at least I get a day off.

Funny

Sorry there haven't been any posts in a while, i've just got back from Northern Ireland, which funnily enough is where I spotted this sign in a shop window. It made me laugh.

Felt Squares

These are a mixture of hand and machine sewn felt squares, i've had some of them framed but am thinking of making more and turning them into cushions or little blankets.

Button your lip

I spent yesterday convincing my boyfriend to get rid of a few of his t shirts. The one's that he really didn't want to let go of i turned into cushion covers. Making them led me onto this idea.

Goldie Lookin Car

Saw this on the way to work, it's amazing what you can do with a bit of gaffa tape.

Herman Dune

This is some sewing I did for a new interactive site for Herman Dune. It's a brilliant site that enables you to write your own message to a loved one on a giant love heart.

And it burns burns burns....

Can't believe Johnny's house has burnt down - it's so sad. I wonder if barry's excessive hairspray had anything to do with it.

Every stitch a tear

This is the main piece from my degree show, it's a tapestry 3m wide by 2m high which took three and a half months to complete. The idea behind it was to give me something constant to work on while mending my broken heart. It's the lyrics from Uncertain Smile by "The The". When the coloured letters are taken and placed together they form a question.

Passing time

I did this little bit of stitching on the eurostar.

Brussels

Went to Brussels for the weekend and spotted these flats - thought they were pretty cool, not as cool as the tasty beer though.

Thriller!

Hankies

This is one of the pieces I made for my degree show. Not to be sniffed at. Boom Boom! Apologies but i'm well known for not being able to resist a pun.
